The Provincial Government of GyeonggiDo has decided to issue its 2nd Disaster Basic Income of 100,000 Won per person.
This was announced on the 17th, as the Gyeonggi Provincial Government accepted the Gyeonggi Provincial Parliament’s official proposal.
The basic income will be 100,000 Won in credits or local currencies that will expire 3 months after its date of issue, as did the 1st Disaster Basic Income.
The difference being, this time all 480,000 registered foreigners inside the province will be included in its net of support.
This is the result of human rights groups drawing a petition for migrant inclusion in the disaster basic income issuing to the National Human Rights Commission of Korea, which the NHRCK accepted and then advised to the Gyeonggi government.
